Photography is the one of the great loves of my life. My Mom and my Aunt Tami are photo-takers, and I believe I picked up on this from watching them. They both saw the beauty in their surroundings and documented all of it. I got my first camera (a Poloroid) at age 9, and I have been taking photos ever since. A photo is one split second in time that can never be duplicated - that moment is forever caught and frozen and is as individual as a snowflake. I have been dressing my pets up and photographing them since I can remember, and I adore capturing candid moments with friends and family.

God's creation never ceases to amaze me, so I photograph all I can in nature... even in my own backyard. And then, there is something about Black and White that penetrates me to my soul. As much beauty as there is in vibrant color, a perfect black and white photo really concentrates on the subject matter and moves me. I appreciate the contrast in the world, and seeing it perfectly represented in a black and white photo is perfection.
